Welcome to von Hagens Plastination
Von Hagens Plastination offers one-of-a-kind, real human specimens, preserved through Plastination, exclusively for medical teaching, anatomy labs and instruction. These anatomical teaching resources are made possible through the revolutionary specimen preservation process of Plastination, invented by anatomist Gunther von Hagens, founder of von Hagens Plastination.
Through Dr. von Hagens science - a unique collaboration between the Institute for Plastination's body donors, the plastination anatomists and technicians, and educators like yourself -- future generations will be able to gain knowledge of human anatomy that was previously unavailable.
The Institute for Plastination's body donation program that makes these specimens available for education and instruction was founded in 1982. We are grateful to the donors who declared their wish to be useful for medical teaching and instruction.
All our plastinates are produced in Germany at the Gubener Plastinate GmbH under the leadership of Dr. Gunther von Hagens.
Our Anatomical Teaching Center at the Plastinarium in Guben offers a wide array of courses in anatomy and plastination designed for the medical and health education fields.
